May 1, 2017 - Update: BDSC 2017 Annual General Meeting
Thursday, May 18, 2017
7:00 pm at the BDSC Clubhouse
3203 County Road 36,(Just east of the lights in Buckhorn)
Please join us at the AGM! Come and find out what has been happening with your club this year and learn about plans for the future.
We are seeking new volunteers to join the Board of Directors. Becoming a BDSC Board member is a great opportunity to give something back to the sport we all love! The club is revitalized with every new member who makes the decision to become actively involved in the future of snowmobiling in the area!
Several mandate positions are open, but if you don't think you would be ready to jump right in, new directors may if they wish, join the Board without a specific mandate for the first year in order to familiarize themselves with club operations. The new director would then assume an area of responsibility in the second year. Individuals must be BDSC permit holders to become a Board member.
The regular BDSC monthly Board meeting will be held following the AGM.
All BDSC trails are closed for the season. Thanks to our landowners for generously allowing our trails to cross their properties, to our volunteers for their hundreds of hours supporting all aspects of club operations, to our groomer operators for the long hours making our trails the best they can be and to all those who have supported the club in various other ways this year. A special thank you to all those riders who purchased permits this year and chose to direct their support to the BDSC. We couldn't exist without it!
A reminder to all to stay off BDSC trails now that they are closed. Not all snowmobile trails are ATV trails. Some of our trails cross private property. Use of those trails by anyone outside of the snowmobile season, without the express permission of the landowner is trespassing. If a BDSC trail is not signed and identified as an ATV trail by the Kawartha or Haliburton ATV Associations, ATV use is not permitted.
