2011, Trail Brushing, Oct 22 + 30, 2011

Fall, 2011

Hello all: Fall is in the air and it won't be too long before the snow flies! The Buckhorn District Snowmobile Club has decided on 2 main days for "trail brushing", which is the cutting down of excess brush from the sides of the trails prior to the sledding season, as follows: Saturday, October 22nd - meet at the clubhouse at 8:30 am to brush E211 north and/or 501: the Bald Lake trail. Sunday, October 30th - details as above Coffee and soup will be provided. Please bring gloves, clippers and handsaws, if possible. If anyone has their own chainsaw and has their up-to-date chainsaw certificate, please bring that, as well. Also - if you are able to bring an ATV or Argo to transport people and equipment, let me know! Please RSVP to me by email or phone 705 748-3437 if you can help us out on one or both days, even if it's just for a few hours! We really need, and would appreciate, your help! Thank you, Pat Wade BDSC VIA (Volunteers In Action) coordinator

Landowners Appreciation!

October, 2011

We can enjoy our great BDSC trails due to the gracious cooperation of local landowners that provide access through their properties. Please exercise care when traveling the trails over their private property, remain on the trails and clean up any debris or garbage left behind by less considerate sledders. Our access to our trails is dependent upon our respect for the landowners that support the BDSC. Thank you to all our landowner supporters!
